Where to begin?

I am 37 years old and I once was a size 8..not anymore...now I am pushing a size 20. I am inspired by the Biggest Loser so I have begun this blog to track my progress and give myself inspiration and motivation to go on with this. I have tried to lose weight off and on for the last 15 years and have been fairly successful but have not yet gotten all the way back to my old Danelle self and then tragically gone way back up to HUGE DANELLE again. It gets harder every time I fail. I Have a definite goal to get down to about 180 pounds. I am 6 feet tall so I will be one hot mama when I succeed. I don't need to look fabulous for anyone but myself and my hubby..he is ,sadly, smaller than I am. Ultimately, I want to be able to learn how to snowboard so I can go with my family and due to some major back problems(micro-lumbar surgery 5 years ago... L5/S1 discectomy) my extra weight is a problem with me feeling sore and tired. I want to live to a hundred and keep up with my "way to active for his own good" hubby! I have a program in mind (See next post) and I am going to journal everything I eat... everyday to be accountable for my actions...who need Weight Watchers! I have a great knowledge of what to do to get it done and I will be applying what I have learned and finding out more about what I can do to keep it up! Experiments are always so fun! My goal is to reach goal weight in 6 months beginning November 3rd, 2008. Bill Philips says having goals is the key so I will be listing them all in a separate post that I can refer to when I feel frustrated.

Happy Health!
